Have you had ideas for a play but didn’t know how to successfully bring it to fruition? Whether you're interested in writing short or long form, we will focus on best practices to include structure, dialogue, length, character development and formatting. We will discuss how to get your play into festivals, getting published, other author opportunities and resources for playwrights. Weekly writing assignments that will be read aloud and discussed in class so that you can best learn how to tell a compelling story for the theatre. Discover how to get your play produced, how to make connections in the theatre industry and the difference between writing for the stage and screen. Novice and experienced writers are welcome.
