Introduction to Chess

Learn chess from square one as we start with the basic rules, then progress to checkmates and tactics! You’ll learn how to read moves and write down your own, preparing you for a first tournament. Also, we’ll cover light strategy and opening principles, getting students to the level of playing casually around Santa Fe. No experience needed; classes include group instruction on a demo board, as well as one-on-one practice games.
