Loving-Kindness, or Metta Meditation, is a transformative practice that cultivates a quality of openheartedness that we can draw on in our daily lives. When practiced regularly, it can awaken our hearts' potential for wisdom and compassion, nurture a sense of connection with the world around us, and serve as a powerful practice for our times. This class will offer students a supportive setting in which to establish a daily Loving-Kindness Meditation practice. Each class will include instructions, a seated meditation, group discussion, and time for questions and sharing. Students will also learn other mindfulness practices and applications such as walking and mindfulness meditation.
