Confessions of a Casting Director is a 2 week class for any aspiring actor who wants insider tips on how to make your audition stand out. Using her book Confessions of a Casting Director (HarperCollins), Jen Rudin will demystify the often intimidating and constantly changing audition process, sharing insider tips on preparing for every type of audition: musical theater, television (including commercials and reality TV), and film to voiceovers, and animated movies. In the first week, you'll learn the overview of the casting process and assign scenes from past TV and film projects previously cast by the instructor. As a group, you'll learn how to interpret an audition scene, break down acting beats, and cover audition essentials like wardrobe and genre. In the second class, you'll do "mock auditions" and get specific feedback from Jen with helpful tips. All mock auditions will be recorded, and students will receive copies of their auditions following the class.
