Course number : 4600094   ID : 4570
« back to classes page
We will observe the rich interactions of life in the Riparian Zone and the Pinon/Juniper habitat in the Nature Conservancy Santa Fe Canyon Preserve. The intersection of water on the surface, complex structuring of plant cover and geography converge creating a hotspot of diversity. During our slow walk of the 1.3 mile loop we'll look at the interactions between the plants, birds, tetrapods, fossil, and human history. Mr. Neuwirth has been a supporter of the Nature Conservancy since 1990, and has studied our ecology for over 45 years. Bring light hiking wear, snacks, water, and binoculars.
