ClassGraphic Mindfulness and meditation help us to befriend ourselves and our authentic experience and, over time, can support a grounded sense of peace, freedom, and well-being even amidst turbulent times. This course, for both beginners and experienced practitioners, offers a secular experience of meditation and mindfulness while also honoring the Buddhist lineage from which these practices were born. Students will be gently led through an experiential learning journey of different meditation modalities, mindfulness practices, and playful and connective applications, such as drawing games, mindful eating, gentle movement, and authentic relating. Each class will include mindfulness meditation instruction, a 10-20 minute seated meditation, group discussion, playful and connective activities, and time for questions and sharing so that students feel well-supported in their journey.
