ClassGraphic Unlock the captivating world of birds! This field course provides a comprehensive overview of birding suitable for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Through this half-day, 3-mile field trip, you'll develop essential skills for spotting and identifying birds. Whether you're a backyard birdwatcher or world traveler, this class will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to enjoy birding. During the outing you will learn the basic tools of birding and the fundamentals of bird identification, from recognizing physical characteristics to understanding behavior. We will explore the ecosystems surrounding the Santa Fe River to practice our skills and enjoy the best birding in Santa Fe. Students must provide their own transportation, water, snacks, and binoculars. Limited binoculars available to borrow.
