The 3D Printing Technician Pre-Apprenticeship utilizes the skills earned in the 3D Technician Master Badge course. Pre-Apprentices serve as teaching assistance in New Collar Network education programs for youth and adults, design 3D Print items for classes and in collaboration with local entrepreneurs in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico, assist lab manager with printer maintenance and repairs, apply advanced workflow systems for 3D fabrication, and engage in professional development activities including conferences, seminars, and workshops. The PAP program leads to a United States Department of Labor recognized Registered Apprenticeship program.
