Italy’s wine landscape is vast, diverse and infinitely fascinating with over 2,000 grape varieties grown with upwards of 400 varieties used in commercial wine production. Each region of Italy offers wonderful expressions of indigenous varieties and unique expressions of grapes we are familiar with. In this class we'll stay North of Tuscany diving into the nuances of the more common and familiar grapes but also venture out and learn about some of the lesser know (and delicious) grapes and explore some of ancient “cutting edge” wine making philosophies and their wines.
