Large-Scale Ink Drawing on Paper

In this free-play class, you'll use big brushes, squirt bottles, splashes, drips, calligraphy, and layers of ink washes on large-format paper. Focused on non-objective abstraction, this class allows you to experiment with personal reference materials, such as natural objects or photographs. Explore ink properties and develop your own abstract language and awareness. Work gesturally and embrace bold, expressive movements. Using black India ink, you'll create everything from subtle washes to pure black, with the option to incorporate color. The instructor will demonstrate various techniques, and class time will be dedicated to creating multiple large-scale works on paper.
