Embark on a 6-week virtual journey through South-Central Turkey, exploring its rich history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Begin in Antalya (ancient Attalia), the “capital of Turkish tourism,” and travel eastward to Antakya (ancient Antioch) near the Syrian border. Along the way, "stay" in modern hotels and "enjoy" exquisite Turkish cuisine while discovering archaeological treasures such as Çatalhöyük, ancient temples, rock-cut tombs, Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, medieval castles, and hidden underground cities. Experience the mesmerizing whirling dervishes in Konya and "make a pilgrimage" to the tomb of the Sufi mystic Rumi. Take in the stunning scenery, "swim" at pristine beaches, and immerse yourself in the layers of history and culture that define this remarkable region. This course is your ticket to exploring the wonders of Turkey from the comfort of home.
