Lavender has long been used for its extraordinary fragrance and beauty, culinary uses, and medicinal properties. Join us to learn about growing and using lavender, including soil conditions and how to care for and feed this increasingly popular herb in Northern New Mexico. Tour the Santa Fe Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners Herb Garden filled with the fragrant smells of lavender and learn about the various types of lavender. After time in the garden, explore ways to cook, preserve, and use lavender in the Santa Fe Cooperative Extension Teaching Kitchen. Then enjoy a morning cup of tea or coffee and delicious lavender desserts.
