Botany Basics

This class is for plant enthusiasts who lack a background in botany. Students will learn basic terminology used to describe plants. They will take a trip through the plant kingdom to review relationships, such as evergreen vs. deciduous trees and cacti vs. yuccas and agaves. Seven locally important plant families will be highlighted along with the science of plant collecting and the use of herbaria. Students will review lessons by playing Botany Bingo
