Giant Puppetmaking

Build your own 10 foot tall giant puppet to wear in the streets for community celebrations! This intensive course offers hands-on experience with a wide variety of techniques. You'll practice sculpting in paper mache and cardboard while learning basic frame building and painting. We'll cover costume creation and puppet animation. Learning about the expansive world of giant puppetry will fuel your imagination as we move from idea to reality. We end with the joy of sparking wonder in others through our creations. No prior experience with art or puppetry is required for this class. You only need imagination and a willingness to get your hands messy.
