Fiber Optic Technician Certifications Free to enrollees: CFOT, CFOT/S, CFOT/O, CFOT/H, OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid

Broadband Academy Courses Free to enrollees: Rural Broadband Association (NTCA) approved courses in Broadband Customer Service and Installer Technician

Starts August 24, 2026, Earn a minimum (4) certifications. Customized design for 16 or 32 weeks. 

To be considered for this class, you must be a NM resident, 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or equivalency. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Applicants must be able to distinguish colors and possess manual dexterity for working with fiber optic cable and tools.

Tuition and fees are paid for by the New Mexico Workforce Government and Opportunity Program.
