Small Canvas Acrylic Painting

Enter a creative space where observation sparks imagination. In this hands-on painting class, we dive into the world of abstraction using acrylics on 8 x 10 inch canvases. Inspired by the lines, shapes, and forms found in our everyday surroundings, participants will learn to reinterpret what they see into expressive, non-representational art. We begin by using pencil, colored pencil, or markers, students sketch their impressions of the campus environment, capturing the essence of what caught their eye. These sketches then become the foundation for bold, intuitive paintings as we shift from literal representation to personal interpretation.
