This workshop explores the intersection of writing and visual art, inviting participants to combine journal reflections, poetry, and mixed media into expressive, layered pages. Through guided prompts and creative exercises, move between words and images, allowing each to inspire the other. Short journaling reflections, poetic fragments, and intuitive writing will serve as starting points for visual exploration using dry mixed media and watercolor. Experiment with ways that language can become part of the artwork through handwriting, mark-making, and spontaneous creative gestures. The class includes gentle writing prompts, reflection time, and hands-on exploration with mixed media materials, with an emphasis on creative freedom, personal voice, and process rather than perfection. Open to all experience levels, this class welcomes anyone curious about exploring their inner landscape through words and images. By the end of the workshop, you'll have created several expressive journal pages and gained tools and inspiration to continue a personal visual journaling practice.
